First introduced in the Powerpuff Girls comic issue Déjà View, the Powerpunk Girls—Berserk, Brat, and Brute—hail from a twisted mirror universe where villainy reigns supreme, and heroes are nowhere to be found. Created by Oppressor Plutonium, the ruthless opposite of Professor Utonium, the Powerpunk Girls were born to be his tools of terror, designed to bring "fun" and "profit" to his iron-fisted rule over the grim city of Vilestown.

The Powerpunk Girls only appeared once in the official Powerpuff Girls media, but that one appearance left a lasting impact on fans, sparking countless fan theories, stories, and rumors.
